Fashion Week, May 09: Grand Allure

The talents of both novice and veteran designers are showcased in the Fashion Week which is held twice a year. This is a one-week long fashion show which has a theme for each day of the week; May 28, 2009 being: Grand Allure. The fashion week of May 09 is being held at the SMX Convention Center. Everyone is free to come, though people with invitation are of priority. Luckily, I was one of those lucky girls who had a pass in the event :

It really looks like the conflict between Rufa Mae Quinto and Mo Twister has gone more sour. It started with a misunderstanding stemming out from the Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho controversy. After the one month that Rufa Mae wasn’t able to join Mo in Showbiz Central, their misunderstanding has really gone towards the worse to the point that she has granted an interview about this issue to the rival network, The Buzz.

By this time, a lot has been talked about Jomari Yllana’s official statement that first went live in last Saturday’s GMA’s Cool Center show. You might have possibly watched a rerun of the said statement in Showbiz Central the following day. Suffice it to say, the issue has gotten ugly than was expected. A mouthful of words were heard from the usual laid back Yllana.

A warrant was recently issued for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest. For some reason, Lohan has failed to follow what has been decided on after the hit and run incident that she had. It really looks like we’re seeing another infamous display delivered by these young artists who are not able to carry stardom all too well. After having been arrested at least a couple of times in the last two years because of drunk driving and being on drugs, it looked like she has not learned her lesson since.

People have been asking what Martin has to say about her ex-wife Pops Fernandez’s break up with her long time boyfriend Jomari Yllana. All he has to say really is that he does not like to see when Pops is hurting like she is now. It is interesting to know that they really have kept their friendship intact. Pops calls him and talks about the pain and they talk for hours on end.

A lot are ridiculing Aniston for playing everyone with his alleged romance with John Mayer. While Mayer seems to be the perfect date, with his being willing and all. People are even labeling Aniston as being phony and seem to be more bored than interested.

Why do people get all so upset with how she presents herself as being happy with what she currently have. Even telling in Sunday’s You magazine as having “the best moment of my life. I’ve never felt better physically or professionally. I am a very lucky woman.”

Geri Halliwell and Italian tycoon, Fabrizio Politi’s engagement is officially off. It is less than three months since their wedding plans was announced and who will ever forget all those photos around the news of Ginger spice flaunting her brand new £220,000 engagement ring to the public.

Apparently, Geri just woke up one day and figured out that the only one that she needs is her daughter Bluebell to be happy and was convinced that she is not the marrying type. We all know how she could get in and out of a relationship and it will only be a matter of time until she’s bouncing back with another lover.

There is no doubt that Francis Magalona made an impact not just  in the movie and music industry but the whole country as well. People are mourning every since his demise was announce on live television yesterday noon.

The Master Rapper did not just make his mark plainly but shouted throughout the world how Filipinos can be proud of their culture.  A true epitome of patriotism and positivity.  A true gung ho of his beloved country.  He so loved the Philippines that he even coined his T-shirt company, “Three Stars and a Sun,” the picture of our Philippine flag.

Born in October 4, 1964, Francis Magalona succumbed to Leukemia at 12NN (Philippine time) today, March 6, 2009. He was confined in Medical City in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.  The brave soul, who was known to be The Master Rapper, apparently underwent the 4th Chemo cycle in Jan 15. It was the last time we have heard from him.

His own words from his blog:
Good evening people. I am getting prepared for my 4th Chemotherapy cycle, and I will be admitted tonight at The Medical City. I will be doing some tests tomorrow, wish me luck. Friday I begin my 4th cycle which is a Hi-Dose kind, as will be taking 6 grams of Cytarabin™ a day every other day for 3 days.

How crazy can love get? Apparently Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together again after being spotted checking in at Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The smackin’ probably was not just enough or maybe she has gone nuts altogether over this Brown guy. Sure they have reigned Billboard’s top spot, but can somebody pull out that co-dependency rug off their feet?
